The printing and dyeing wastewater is mainly from the printing and dyeing of cotton, hemp, chemical fibers and their blended products, silk, wool weaving, dyeing and finishing, silk factories, etc. The quantity and quality of printing and dyeing wastewater are different with different fiber types and processing technologies. Among them, the amount of wastewater from the printing and dyeing plant is large, and 100~200t of water is consumed for each 1t of textile processing, 80%~90% of which is discharged as wastewater. Printing and dyeing wastewater has the characteristics of large amount of water, high content of organic pollutants, high alkalinity, large change in water quality, etc. It is one of the industrial wastewater that is difficult to treat. The wastewater contains dyes, size, additives, oil, acid and alkali, fiber impurities, sand substances, inorganic salts, etc.
In the pretreatment of printing and dyeing wastewater, physical methods such as adding coagulant aids such as ferric salt, aluminum salt and PAM will be adopted first, and then the concentration and toxicity of pollutants in printing and dyeing wastewater will be reduced by means of adsorption net catching, and then the wastewater will enter the biochemical system for treatment. The sludge generated in this process can be dewatered by the screw type sludge dehydrator to reduce the floor area and transportation cost.
